Things to Know Before You Say “Go” Professional Guide
Use this Powerful Deck in your Therapy Practice
This guide can help you generate more ideas about how to deepen your clinical work, build referrals and reputation, and offer an easy workshop in your community.
Now you can broaden your use of the Things to Know Before You Say “Go” cards and help create more consciousness about relationship choices in your community. The guide will walk you the use of the cards in traditional therapy (individual, couples, and family therapy) as well as suggesting new ways for providing your services.
The Professional Guide is FREE as an epub. Just send me an email and I’ll send you the file (currently working on making this a click-a-way).
The Professional Guide will give you new ideas for how therapists and counselors can use the cards in individual and group settings. The cards serve to:
- Playfully and engagingly present 76 common challenges in most a relationships
- Feel compelled to see how your relationship stacks up
- Increase consciousness about the pros and cons of any particular partner
- Provide a means for discussing the nuances of romantic partnership
- Explore both readiness and fit for partnership
- Provide opportunity for hours of meaning conversation about relationship values and preferences (between therapist and client, parent and child, or boyfriend and girlfriend)
- Offer a means for role-playing challenging relationship situations
- Offering a tool for self-reflection about one’s own relationship skills and well as places for growth
- Provide a structure for workshops and presentations
Since the guide is in a fluid ipub format I can always add new ideas for using the Things to Know Before You Say “Go” cards. If you would like to contribute your ideas and experiences in using the cards in new settings or in new ways, I would be delighted to include your ideas (with full credit) in future publications of the Professional Guide. Please feel free to send a personal email with your contribution.
